For more than forty years, Crystal Galleries has been powered by people who care about the craft and the customers. From the road to the workshop to the accounts desk, here are some of the faces you’ll speak to, meet at shows and rely on when the brief is tricky and the deadline is tighter than tight.
Jeremy Lowes - Managing Director
Time at CG: Since 1982
What I Do: Lead the business.
Why I Love CG: It’s a family business and I’ve known many customers for decades - catching up at shows is a highlight.
When I’m Not Working: Family and friends, good food, a drink and sport in the background.
Favourite Food: Chicken Kiev with proper chips.
Fun Fact: My school athletics career ended thanks to a stray javelin (true story).
Jo Lowes - Finance Director
Time at CG: 39 years
What I do: Started in artwork and stencil production, then HR; now Finance Director.
Why I love CG: It’s our family business, working with my brother, son, nephew, cousin and sister-in-law every day.
When I’m not working: Walking cavapoochons Daisy & Stanley, seaside trips in all weathers, time with family and friends.
Favourite food: Most things, especially sprouts and chocolate.
Fun fact: Medals in ballroom & Latin; Chair of North East Ladies Day charity.
Kevin Cowey - General Manager
Time at CG: 15 years
What I do: IT systems & development; operations support; technical support for customers.
Why I love CG: Family atmosphere and a can-do mindset, never a dull moment.
When I’m not working: NUFC season ticket holder for 30+ years.
Favourite food: Indian, anything spicy.
Fun fact: Soul-music obsessive and long-time vinyl collector; ran monthly soul nights for 30 years. Allotment owner for last 4 years, grow your own veg and fruit.
Jess Crossley - Production Manager
Time at CG: 3 years
What I do: Oversee production workflow from job intake to despatch; assign stock; manage decoration processes; lead and support the production team; training.
When I’m not working: Time with my two kids.
Favourite food: A good spaghetti bolognese.
Fun fact: Massive Harry Potter fan who loves film nights with the kids.
Sue Bell - Operations Manager
Time at CG: Just celebrated 6 years - 2nd September 2019
What I Do: Operations, from overseeing production of orders to developing new systems and processes to continually improve our service to our customers, and everything in between, which also includes facility management and health and safety…..
Why I Love CG: Family-owned feel and the positive atmosphere Jem & Jo have created; the whole team works hard to keep customers happy.
When I’m Not Working: Walking my dogs (Bertie & Molly) and most weekends away in Gladys (our motorhome).
Favourite Food: Anything Italian.
Fun Fact: Avid sports fan; still chasing a bucket-list trip to the Spanish F1 Grand Prix in Barcelona, one day maybe! And (for my sins) a lifelong Boro supporter.
Alison O'Neill - Business Development Manager
Time at CG: 10 years
What I do: Use my knowledge & experience to influence business development and provide support on legal, HR, Customer Service, finance & marketing matters
Why I love CG: I get to work in a family business with colleagues who are friends. I enjoy an environment where I can support others and influence business decisions, and I’m able to do both.
When I’m not working: I most enjoy absorbing myself in environments that enable me to be still and promote an inner peace. So, I love to dip in the sea, paddleboard, meditate, practice yoga and travel across the country in our campervan. All essential pastimes for supporting my beloved Boro and England’s Lionesses!
Favourite food: A homemade tomato pasta with veggie meatballs, topped with melted cheese
Fun fact: I was asked by my Doctor to stand on one foot…………………so I stood on his. The worst of it was, I was absolutely serious and it was my medical for entry into teacher training.
Ben Lowes - Sales Director
Time at CG: Since 2009
What I do: Saying yes to every enquiry, causing problem, solving problmes, keeping the office on their toes.
Why I love CG: Working with the family.
When I’m not working: Golf...then drinks after golf, then the dog house.
Favourite food: Beef Wellington
Fun fact: Allergic to either scallops or calamari, we’re narrowing it down - still not figured it out.
Richard Adinolfi - Sales Manager
Time at CG: 18 months
What I Do: On the road visiting customers across the UK; making sure you’ve got what you need to sell with confidence.
Why I Love CG: The people and the product.
When I’m Not Working: Golf, tennis… and watching Spurs’ struggles.
Favourite Food: Italian.
Fun Fact: I can recite “Ice Ice Baby” word-for-word.
Michaela O’Halloran - Technical Sales Manager
Time at CG: Almost 6 years
What I Do: Technical sales; photoresist films and glass decoration techniques.
Why I Love CG: It feels like family, customers included.
When I’m Not Working: Cycling, hiking, swimming; yoga, reading and podcasts on rainy days.
Favourite Food: Italian most days; sushi as a treat.
Fun Fact: Recently welcomed my baby girl, Liliana.
Isla Clifton - Customer Service Supervisor
Time at CG: 5 years
What I Do: Customer Service Supervisor.
Why I Love CG: My lovely team (and having every Christmas off!).
When I’m Not Working: Reading, cooking and planning my next holiday
Favourite Food: Seafood pasta and a large glass of white wine
Fun Fact: I have a pet parrot called Ruby.
Jess Parnell - Customer Services
Time at CG: 5 years
What I Do: Quotes and customer service; I also run the sales desk when Isla is out
Why I Love CG: CS and Accounts are a close-knit team with a shared sense of humour
When I’m Not Working: I’m volunteer boat crew for my local RNLI station. I also love hill walks with the dogs and travelling
Favourite Food: Pizza, Thai, Korean and Japanese – give me it all!
Fun Fact: I’ve swum with around ten different species of sharks
Paul Corduex - Customer Services
Time at CG: 3 years
What I Do: Customer Service Team
Why I Love CG: We have a great team who all work well together and laugh a lot.
When I’m Not Working: I love reading and occasionally write my own fiction in the rare moments I feel inspired.
Favourite Food: There’s very little I don’t like! You can’t beat a good Sunday Roast, a stew with mash or a full English breakfast.
Harrison Wenham - Customer Services
Time at CG: Just under 2 years
What I do: Customer service agent; trade order input.
Why I love CG: The team here are more like friends than colleagues.
When I’m not working: I’m writing my first novel.
Favourite food: Paella.
Fun fact: In a previous role I was one of the voices you’d hear if you were trapped in a lift anywhere in the UK.
Megan Roberts - Customer Services
Time at CG: 3 years
What I Do: Enter wholesale plain-stock orders.
Why I Love CG: Family-run business where the team feels like friends.
When I’m Not Working: Out walking with my black lab, Cooper.
Favourite Food: Sunday roast.
Fun Fact: I used to be a veterinary nurse.
Emma Johnson - Credit Control
Time at CG: 7 years
What I Do: Credit control.
When I’m Not Working: Exploring new countries and restaurants; time with friends, family, dog and two cats.
Favourite Food: Almost everything, I’m a proper foodie.
Fun Fact: I travelled the world with Disney On Ice (not as Donald Duck!).
Natalie Lowes - Credit Control
Time at CG: 14 years
What I do: Credit control.
When I’m not working: Walks with our dogs Teddy & Monty, Peloton workouts, or travelling to see family & friends in the USA.
Favourite food: Anything with a Mediterranean vibe… and desserts, I’ve got a sweet tooth.
Fun fact: I’d love to take part in Strictly Come Dancing (I’ve even picked my songs).
Andrea McDonald - Invoicing
Time at CG: Over 16 years
What I Do: Accounts, processing sales and purchase invoices.
When I’m Not Working: Football and quizzing.
Favourite Food: Steak and chips with a glass of rosé prosecco.
Fun Fact: Avid Boro fan (40 seasons in hospitality) and I’ve appeared on 11 TV game shows.
Sam Lowes - Marketing Manager
Time at CG: Decades
What I Do: Marketing manager.
Why I love CG: Proud to be the third generation in the family business.
When I’m Not Working: Sport - golf, football or tennis.
Favourite Food: Italian, any pizza or pasta.
Fun Fact: Long-suffering Man Utd fan.
